This is a modern wedding full of the beauty of Chinese traditional art. Therefore, The venue Jishan Garden, featuring Chinese heritage, was a perfect match. Our bride, April, chose the unique sky cyan (a traditional Chinese colour between powder blue and light turquoise) as the accent colour of the wedding, supplemented by a large proportion of pure white. Unexpectedly, the floral design was all white, and you can only find sky cyan from the bridesmaid’s Qipao dress and the exquisite porcelain tableware at the reception. This unique way of using the theme colour is really aesthetic and high-end. It DID rain on their wedding day before the ceremony – what a beautiful serendipity moment!
The main flowers of the wedding also have a more oriental charm – blooming white phalaenopsis, roses and anthurium, surrounded by loose baby’s breath. The silver dollar eucalyptus had a bluish-grey look in the shade, subtly echoing the colour theme. The reception was held in the Sky Roof Pavilion at Jishan, adorned with unique spherical modern paper lanterns. We styled the guest tables with sage green chiffon table runners, very pale cyan tablecloths and modern white bentwood chairs. The final effect was so clean and elegant, like a fresh and artistic picture depicting a sunny day after the rain.
